As Franco Farinelli pointed, Thomas the apostle was the first one to mistrust an image, while looking at Jesus Christ resurrected, so he needed to touch that image putting his finger within the wound, just to believe. In the video, my fingers open the wound, so zoom in it. It is recorded in my first smartphone, when that devices becoming usual in our pockets (2014). That screen is almost the only channel of information most of people access everyday, to reach the information that we believe as true or not. Thomas represented a new paradigma of spectator in its time, as we nowadays do.

Artist Biography
Javi Cruz (Madrid, 1985) studied art while giving up basketball and graffiti. He works on projects related to drawing, the staged act, masonry and the performative powers associated with orality and other textualities. These often lead to situation design.

He has worked as a member of the Elgatoconmoscas, PLAYdramaturgia an Bosque real collectives, for the most part with more or less institutional venues in Madrid and in other contexts, such as Museo Reina Sofía, Matadero, La Casa Encendida or CA2M, and as performer with fellow artists Cris Blanco, María Jerez, Nyamnyam and Cuqui Jerez.
